                   RetroForth, Release 6.15

RetroForth is a framework for creating applications in Forth. It contains
a compact, extensible Forth core and supports use of libraries written in
other languages.

Unlike most Forth systems, a program written in RetroForth will run on any
supported operating system. Each port of RetroForth shares a common core,
and differs only in initialization and driver implementation. Currently the
supported platforms are native (running as an operating system) and Linux.
There are Linux ports using the text console, svgalib, and SDL. Other ports
are being planned.

Feedback is very welcome! Please don't hesitate to let us know if something
is unclear, doesn't work, or if you have any points to make. The feedback
we have recieved has been essential to getting RetroForth to its current
status and we thank everyone who has ever tried, used, or shared their
thoughts on RetroForth.
